Despite West Ham United’s recent struggles, attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus remains optimistic about the team’s prospects in the UEFA Europa League.
The Hammers have endured a challenging run, going winless in their last eight games and suffering three consecutive defeats. However, their focus now shifts to the European stage, where they are set to face German side Freiburg in the round of 16.
Kudus, buoyed by the team’s success in the UEFA Europa Conference League last season, believes West Ham has what it takes to clinch another European trophy.
In an interview with West Ham’s official website, Kudus expressed his determination to help the team overcome their current difficulties and make an impact in Europe.
“While we’re going through a difficult spell, everyone is trying hard. We’re not giving up, and we’re still striving to turn things around,” Kudus affirmed.
He emphasized the importance of perseverance and effort in changing the team’s fortunes, stating, “As long as you’re trying to change the situation, then it will improve.”
Setting his sights on both European success and domestic competition, Kudus reiterated the team’s ambition to challenge the top six teams in the Premier League.
When asked about their chances in the UEFA Europa League, Kudus exuded confidence, asserting, “Yes, 100% [we can win the UEFA Europa League].”
With their first-leg clash against Freiburg looming and a crucial fixture against Brentford on the horizon, Kudus and his teammates are determined to rise to the occasion and reignite their season with a triumphant European campaign.
