Former England and Manchester United defender Gary Neville has advised Mohammed Kudus to refine his decision-making abilities during matches.
The Black Stars midfielder played a pivotal role in helping West Ham United secure a 4-2 victory over Brentford, contributing with an assist to aid his team’s return to winning form on Monday night.
Speaking on his podcast, Neville acknowledged Kudus’ talent but stressed the importance of maturity in his final decisions on the pitch.
“Kudus has got something special, but he needs to be more mature in his final choices,” Neville said.
“Sometimes wingers can be unpredictable, but they need to be unpredictable not just to the opposition but also to their own teammates. In the first half, he took one or two wild shots instead of making a final pass.”
Kudus, who was substituted in stoppage time, has now accumulated six goals and provided two assists for West Ham in the Premier League, contributing to a total of 10 goals across all competitions.
