Nana Yaw Amponsah, the CEO of Asante Kotoko, has provided updates on the club’s ongoing initiative to develop a young squad at Adako Jachie.
As part of their commitment to nurturing young talent, the Porcupine Warriors have started renovating their training facility at Adako Jachie.
The construction of the training complex and housing facilities began two years ago to accommodate the club’s players and youth team.
Nana Yaw Amponsah discussed the club’s current approach and plans for the initiative in an exclusive interview with Oyerepa FM.
He mentioned that they have reached the stage of deciding how to provide accommodation for the selected players. One possibility being considered is finding foster guardians and paying them a monthly amount, ranging from Ghc1,000 to Ghc2,000, to build apartments for the players.
Amponsah also mentioned ongoing discussions with partners who are interested in providing technical support and potential investment in the project.
“We have reached the stage of deciding how to accommodate the players we have selected. Whether to find foster guardians and pay them may be Ghc1,000 -Ghc2,000 a month to build an apartment,” he added.
“Our partners are also in talks with us on helping technically and they might be the new investors too, so we are still on the project,” he ended.
