Ghanaian defender Nathaniel Adjei has expressed that FC Lorient‘s impressive 3-0 victory over AC Ajaccio was well-deserved.

After a strong start to the French Ligue 2 season with two consecutive wins, Lorient faced challenges in maintaining that level of performance. However, on Friday, they secured their fourth win of the season against a ten-man Ajaccio at the Stade du Moustoir.

Following the match, Adjei confidently stated, “I think we deserved to win. ”He acknowledged that while Ajaccio started strong in the first 10 to 15 minutes, the game shifted after they received a red card. “After the red card, I believe we dominated the game,” he noted.

He further emphasized the team’s effectiveness, saying, “Our performance was good, forcing them to make mistakes. When you consider everything you could observe during the game, I believe it was fair.”

Adjei, who delivered another standout performance, appears to have regained full fitness, playing a vital role throughout the match.

With this victory, FC Lorient moves up to third place in the league standings, amassing 13 points from seven matches. They are set to face ASM Caen in Week 8 on October 5, 2024.
