Ghanaian attacker Mohammed Kudus has emerged as a key target for Newcastle United as they explore options to replace Anthony Gordon. With Gordon rumored to be moving to Liverpool, the Magpies are considering Kudus as a potential addition to strengthen their attack.
The 24-year-old had an impressive debut Premier League season with West Ham United, netting 14 goals and providing six assists. His notable performance against Newcastle, where he scored and assisted in a thrilling 4-3 encounter, drew significant interest from the Magpies.
However, West Ham is unlikely to part with Kudus easily, given they acquired him for £38 million. Newcastle may face a tough challenge in securing his transfer.
Kudus has been making waves during pre-season and is focused on building on his debut season. Reflecting on his initial campaign, he told WHUFC TV, “To start and announce myself, it was quite a good start for me personally [last season], but I believe I still have so much in me that I can still show to everyone. We will work on it and try to double how I performed last season and be even better going forward.”
He also shared his personal goals, saying, “Personally, I want to do better than I did last season with numbers and performances, but most importantly help the team get back into Europe and challenge for the top six. That’s what my personal goal is around, helping the team.”
