Former Ghana youth international Emmanuel Ntim is confident that his team Valenciennes will not be relegated from the French Ligue 2.
The Athenians have moved to 15th position on the league log following a 1-0 win over Pau over the weekend and Ntim insists they will stay in the league.
“We can say that because it was starting to get hot for us. VAFC can’t go down and it’s not going to happen. Even if our initial objective was not to play the maintenance, it is the case at the moment. We will not give up and we will continue. It was an important game. We did the job.” Ntim told Le11hdf
“There is a considerable trip looming next week in Bastia… The game against Pau is over. We are now focusing on Bastia. We know it’s going to be tough. Nobody won against them at home. We are going to work. I think if we play like we played against Pau, defending and attacking well, we can do something. Afterwards, Bastia is a good team, but they are not going to let go. We beat them on the way out, it was not easy.” He added
Ntim has been in great form at the back of Valenciennes playing 25 games and scoring one goal.
