Newly-promoted Ghana Premier League side Debibi United have completed the signing of experienced attacking midfielder Abdul Fatawu Safiu on a two-year contract.
The 32-year-old joins the Premier League newcomers as a free agent after successfully completing his medical and signing the required paperwork.
Safiu returns to the Ghanaian top flight after leaving Asante Kotoko in 2019 to continue his career in Sweden, where he featured for Trelleborgs FF and Trollhättan.
He began his professional career with Liberty Professionals before representing Inter Allies, Eleven Wonders and Asante Kotoko.
His move to Debibi United makes the club his fifth Ghanaian side, bringing valuable experience and attacking quality to the newly-promoted outfit.
Safiu will now hope to use his experience to help Debibi United make a strong impression and establish themselves in the Ghana Premier League during the 2026/27 season.
