Italian Serie A club ACF Fiorentina have announced the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Joseph Alfred Duncan from US Sassuolo.
The 26-year-old signed a four-year deal with the Fiorentina after passing am mandatory medical examination on Thursday. His move to ACF Fiorentina from US Sassuolo worth 15 million euros.
”ACF Fiorentina announces that it has acquired, on a temporary basis with a redemption obligation, from the US Sassuolo Calcio, the rights to the sports performances of the footballer Joseph Alfred Duncan,” a statement on the club’s website read.
“Duncan, born in Accra (Ghana) on 10 March 1993, grew up in the youth sector of Inter and subsequently wore the shirts of
Livorno, Sampdoria and Sassuolo , a club with which he has collected 130 appearances between Serie A, Coppa Italy and Europa League. The new Fiorentina footballer also wore the Ghana national team jersey on eight occasions”
Duncan scored one goal with five assists in his 13 appearances for US Sassuolo this season.
Internationally Duncan has capped eight [8] times for the Black Stars of Ghana.
