Asante Kotoko have officially signed experienced forward Sampson Eduku on a one-and-a-half-year contract after he successfully completed his medical examination.
The 29-year-old striker brings a wealth of experience, having previously played for Samartex and Tamale City. Eduku was in prolific form during the 2022/23 season with Tamale City, scoring 14 goals and providing 4 assists. His performances earned him a move to Iraqi Premier League side Al Quwa Al Jawiya, where he continued to impress.
Kotoko Head Coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum expressed enthusiasm about Eduku’s arrival, stating, “Sampson is a proven goal scorer with great versatility and experience. His ability to score and create chances will add a new dimension to our attack. We’re confident he’ll make an immediate impact.”
Eduku also shared his excitement, saying, “Joining a club as big as Kotoko is a dream come true. I’m fully aware of the expectations and ready to work hard, score goals, and help the team achieve its ambitions. Competing with talented players like Albert Amoah and Kwame Opoku will push me to be even better. I’m ready to give my all for this great club.”
