Ghanaian forward Jalal Abdullai is reportedly on the radar of Polish powerhouse Legia Warsaw, adding to a growing list of European clubs interested in the 21-year-old, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.
Abdullai, who recently returned to IF Elfsborg after a productive loan spell in Norway, has already begun pre-season preparations in Sweden’s Allsvenskan, but the talented forward’s performances have sparked interest across Europe.
Since his move from Inter Allies FC to Elfsborg in the summer of 2023, Abdullai has impressed with his pace, movement, and finishing ability, attributes that make him a sought-after attacking prospect. Last year, he spent time on loan at Molde FK, where his form reportedly led the Norwegian side to consider a permanent deal.
Despite the attention, Abdullai remains contracted to Elfsborg until 2028, leaving the Swedish club in a strong position should they decide to sell. Other clubs previously linked with the Ghanaian star include FC Copenhagen, FC Midtjylland, Genk, Anderlecht, Middlesbrough, and Preston North End.
Legia Warsaw’s reported interest adds further competition for Abdullai’s signature, signaling that a January transfer could be on the horizon. Known for his technical ability and versatility across the forward line, he is considered a player capable of making an immediate impact in top-flight European leagues.
With the January transfer window now in full swing, all eyes will be on Abdullai as clubs weigh their options, and fans of the striker await confirmation of whether he will remain at Elfsborg or embark on the next stage of his European career.
