On Thursday, August 3, 2023, the newly-promoted Ghana Premier League team, Nations Football Club, is set to face the reigning champions, Medeama SC, in a friendly match.
The match will be held at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium at 3:00 PM, serving as a crucial preparation for both clubs ahead of the upcoming season.
Medeama SC, as champions, will represent Ghana in the 2023/24 CAF Champions League and will kick off their campaign with a preliminary round match against Nigeria’s Remo Stars. The team has chosen the Cape Coast Stadium as their home ground for the African competition and is currently in training camp in Cape Coast.
As for Nations FC, they are eagerly anticipating the match and see it as an opportunity to showcase their style of football, which will be on display in the Ghanaian topflight during the upcoming season.
