He saw off competition from national team teammate and Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC goalie Danlad Ibrahim and former Ashanti Gold SC striker Yaw Annor who’s currently in Egypt.

After helping Hearts of Oak to successfully defend the MTN FA Cup trophy with a scintillating performances, he also scored three goals for the Black Galaxies team as they booked a place in the CHAN tournament after missing the last three editions.

He was with a place in the Black Stars team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar following a standout year in his career.

After the exit of the Black Galaxies team from the ongoing 2022 CAF Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament in Algeria, he will travel to Switzerland to continue his development with FC Zurich, a club he signed a long term contract with before the tournament in Algeria.
