Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, has underlined the importance of mental strength as his side aims to revive its title challenge in the ongoing 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
Speaking on the club’s prospects, Coach Ogum acknowledged that the road ahead will be difficult, but insisted that a strong mindset could make all the difference in their pursuit of the league title.
“There are some games to go. You will never know what will happen. The game is full of surprises. We have to put ourselves together mentally. Seven more games to go, you never know what will happen,” he said.
“The key thing now is our mental toughness. We have to put ourselves together mentally,” the coach added, highlighting the psychological aspect of the game as crucial in the final stretch of the season.
Kotoko’s recent form has raised concerns, with the team failing to secure a win in their last three league matches. Their struggles continued on Wednesday when they suffered a disappointing 3-0 loss to Accra Lions in an outstanding Week 22 fixture.
With seven games remaining, the Porcupine Warriors will hope to bounce back when they face Nations FC on April 20, as they aim to reignite their title ambitions and climb back up the league table.
