Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, remains confident in his team’s ability to win the Ghana Premier League title this season, despite their recent slump in form.
The Porcupine Warriors have struggled in recent weeks, going three games without a win. Their latest setback came in a heavy 3-0 defeat to Accra Lions, a result that saw them drop from the top of the table to third place.
Speaking after the match, Coach Ogum insisted that the title race is far from over. He emphasized the need for mental resilience as the team prepares for the final stretch of the season.
“There are some games to go. You will never know what will happen. The game is full of surprises. We have to put ourselves together mentally. Seven more games to go, you never know what will happen,” he said.
He further stressed that mental strength will be the deciding factor in their push for the title. “I think the key thing now is our mental toughness. We have to put ourselves together mentally,” he added.
With seven matches remaining in the league, Kotoko will be looking to bounce back when they face Nations FC in their next fixture, as they aim to get their campaign back on track.
