Real Tamale United FC captain, David Abagna Sandan featured in Black Stars humiliating defeat to Algeria in an international friendly ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
The 22-year-old box-to-box Ghanaian midfielder came on late in the game to replace injured Abdul Fatawu Issahaku in Ghana’s 3-0 loss in Doha, Qatar.
The diminutive player did not get enough time to play and came on at the time Ghana was trailing by three goals against the defending African Cup of Nations champions.
Ghana conceded three cheap goals and lost 3-0 against the Desert Foxes ahead of AFCON 2021 opener against Morocco on Monday evening.
