Real Madrid have noted down the name of another player. It is right-back Reece James whose Chelsea’s contract runs until June 2025.
Reece James is 22 and he has made 110 competitive appearances for Chelsea. He came through the club as a kid before making the step up to the first team.
According to the ‘Daily Mail’, the club’s difficult situation after Roman Abramovich was disqualified by the Premier League has led to many footballers thinking of leaving.
Bolstering the defence is one of the things Real Madrid needs to improve. They need a player to replace Carvajal and James could be that man.
That said, in recent years, the value of this young star has increased to 55 million euros, an amount which Madrid have no intention of paying. However, Madrid are still hoping to reach an agreement with Chelsea.
