Samuel Boateng has officially returned to his parent club, Asante Kotoko, as FC Samartex 1996 announced the conclusion of his six-month loan spell.
The 25-year-old striker is back with the Porcupine Warriors after an unsuccessful loan stint at FC Samartex 1996.
Boateng was sent on loan to the Samreboi based club by Asante Kotoko in January 2023, with no option to buy included in the agreement.
The decision to loan him out came after Boateng struggled to secure a spot in Asante Kotoko’s starting eleven during the first half of the 2022/23 season, where he made only seven appearances.
During his time at FC Samartex, Boateng featured in 11 Premier League matches for the Timber Giants with no goal.
In their official statement, FC Samartex 1996 expressed their gratitude to Samuel Boateng for his exceptional dedication and contributions as their forward during the second half of the season.
“SC Samartex 1996 wishes to thank Samuel Boateng for his incredible dedication and love as our forward during the second round of the season. We appreciate his priceless contributions to our team’s success and wish him the best as he continues his career.”
The club acknowledged his valuable efforts in the team’s success and wished him the best as he continues his career.
Boateng remains under contract with Asante Kotoko until 2024.
