Widespread reports in the Ghanaian media in August this year suggested that versatile Asante Kotoko SC defender Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has signed a new long-term contract with the club but SPORTworldGhana.com, can exclusively reveal that the player hasn’t signed any new contract with the club.
Badu’s contract expired in May 2020 and was negotiating with the club for an extension and yet to officially sign the new contract contrary to reports by the club that he has extended his stay for the next five seasons.
SPORTS WORLD GHANA investigation established although Kotoko are willing to offer Badu a new deal, the player is yet to agree their terms before finally appending his signature on paper for the Porcupine Warriors.
The 24-year-old joined the Ghanaian giants in 2019 from Phar Rangers and has since been an integral part of the team.
Badu made 12 appearances in the Ghana Premier League and two appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup respectively last season.
