Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif is set to present a comprehensive long-term sports infrastructure plan to President Nana Akufo-Addo.
The plan outlines key upgrades to several major sports facilities across Ghana.
As part of the proposal, the playing fields at Baba Yara Stadium, Accra Sports Stadium, and the University of Ghana Sports Stadium will be upgraded with hybrid grass to enhance playability.
Additionally, Tamale Sports Stadium will receive a FIFA-standard astro turf, ensuring the facility meets international standards for both local and international competitions.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to improve Ghana’s sporting infrastructure, positioning the country as a hub for high-quality sports events and development programs.
