Ghanaian forward Samuel Obeng made an immediate impact off the bench as Albacete Balompié secured an emphatic 4-1 victory over Granada CF at the Estadio Carlos Belmonte.
Introduced in the 70th minute, Obeng wasted no time announcing his presence, scoring just moments after coming on. The striker latched onto a well-weighted pass from Lorenzo Aguado before calmly finishing past goalkeeper Luca Zidane to restore Albacete’s two-goal advantage at 3-1.
The hosts had earlier taken firm control of the game, with quickfire goals from Jonathan Gómez and Lluís López inside the opening 15 minutes putting them in a commanding position. However, Granada briefly threatened a comeback when Gonzalo Petit pulled one back shortly after the hour mark.
Obeng’s timely intervention halted Granada’s momentum, before José Carlos Lazo added a late fourth goal—finishing off a clever cut-back from Carlos Neva—to seal a comprehensive win for Rubén Albés’ side.
The goal adds to Obeng’s steady contributions this season, with the Ghanaian now registering four goals in 22 LaLiga2 appearances during the 2025/26 campaign.
Buoyed by this convincing result, Albacete will now shift focus to their next challenge as they prepare to host SD Eibar in another crucial league encounter.
