German Bundesliga side SC Freiburg were among the clubs in attendance last weekend to monitor highly-rated Ghanaian teenager Prince Amoako Junior, who continues to impress in Denmark.
The 18-year-old winger was on target again, scoring his seventh league goal of the season in FC Nordsjælland’s 2-1 victory over Viborg FF. His latest strike adds to what has been a remarkable breakthrough campaign in the Danish Superliga.
Amoako has now registered seven goals and five assists this season, while also leading the league in successful dribbles with an impressive tally of 51—highlighting his creativity, pace, and ability to take on defenders.
A product of the renowned Right to Dream Academy, Amoako is following in the footsteps of fellow Ghanaian stars Mohammed Kudus and Kamaldeen Sulemana, who also rose through the same pathway to European football.
His rapid development has not gone unnoticed, with several European clubs reportedly tracking his progress, and Freiburg becoming the latest to show concrete interest.
With the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaching, Amoako is already being tipped as a potential surprise inclusion in Ghana’s squad. For now, however, his focus remains on helping Nordsjælland in their title challenge, even as speculation grows over a possible summer transfer.
