West Ham United forward Mohammed Kudus believes the team is steadily improving after their 1-1 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion at the London Stadium.
The Hammers endured a challenging start to the season, which brought head coach Julen Lopetegui under pressure. However, recent results have shown signs of progress, with a 2-1 victory over Wolves and successive draws against A.F.C. Bournemouth and Brighton.
Kudus, who found the back of the net during Saturday’s match, is optimistic about the team’s development and their ability to return to top form.
“I think we’re getting close to our best, step-by-step, and the team gave their best today,” Kudus told the club’s official website.
“The boys showed good energy and resilience to come back after going down, and although we wanted the win, we’ll take the point and move forward,” he added.
The Ghanaian international has now scored three goals this season and will be aiming to inspire his side to victory when they face Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium on Thursday, December 26.
