Ghanaian international Thomas Partey has expressed his joy after playing a crucial role in Arsenal’s hard-fought victory over Wolves in the English Premier League on Saturday.

The Black Stars midfielder started and completed the full 90 minutes at Molineux Stadium, delivering an impressive performance that helped Arsenal secure a vital three points. Partey, who has recently been deployed in defensive roles, excelled in his preferred midfield position, providing stability and control for the Gunners.

“Massive win to keep us going,” Partey wrote on Instagram, celebrating the team’s important away victory.

Arsenal faced adversity in the match, going down to 10 men before halftime after Myles Lewis-Skelly was sent off. Despite the numerical disadvantage, the Gunners displayed resilience and determination.

The game took another twist in the 70th minute when Wolves’ Joao Gomes received his second yellow card, leaving both sides with 10 players. Arsenal capitalized on the situation and broke the deadlock in the 74th minute through Ricardo Calafiori, who scored the decisive goal.

The win keeps Arsenal in second place on the Premier League table with 47 points from 23 matches, six points behind league leaders Liverpool, who have an outstanding game.

Partey, 31, has been a key figure for Arsenal this season, making 22 Premier League appearances, scoring two goals, and providing two assists. In all competitions, the former Atletico Madrid midfielder has featured in 33 games, contributing four goals overall.
