Asamoah Gyan, a renowned figure in Ghanaian football, concluded his remarkable career holding the title of Ghana’s all-time leading scorer and Africa’s top scorer at the World Cup.

Throughout a career spanning nearly two decades, the former captain of Ghana’s national team, the Black Stars, netted over fifty goals, solidifying his status as one of the country’s greatest players.

Gyan’s contributions to the sport have earned him global recognition, with his skills and achievements revered across the world.

Among his impressive tally of 51 goals for Ghana, here are the top 8 strikes by the legendary forward:

In his first World Cup appearance in Germany 2006, Gyan swiftly scored within a minute, skillfully controlling a pass from Stephen Appiah before finding the back of the net with his left foot.

Gyan found the net three times against the United States, including two goals at the World Cup. His final goal for the Black Stars was also against the Americans, with all three goals deserving a spot on this list. Notably, his goal during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa stands out.

Gyan came close to securing a victory against Germany for Ghana during the 2014 World Cup. He received an excellent pass from Sulley Muntari and skillfully hammered it past Manuel Neuer.
