English-born of Ghanaian descent, Callum Hudson-Odoi’s remarkable performance at Nottingham Forest has attracted the attention of Premier League clubs, with Tottenham emerging as front-runners for the 23-year-old’s signature.

Following a stellar end to the 2023/24 season, where he netted three goals in the final three games, Hudson-Odoi has become a sought-after talent. Tottenham, under the helm of Ange Postecoglou, are reportedly leading the charge to secure the versatile attacker’s services.

Despite early-season injuries, Hudson-Odoi showcased his potential with eight goals and two assists in over 2,100 minutes of play. Tottenham sees him as a valuable addition to reinforce their attacking options for the upcoming season, alongside their pursuit of a top-quality number nine.

While Nottingham Forest is keen to retain their star player, financial constraints may necessitate a sale to comply with Premier League Profit and Sustainability rules. Hudson-Odoi’s current market value of £30 million presents a lucrative opportunity for Forest to balance their finances.

Although Spurs face competition from two other Premier League clubs for Hudson-Odoi’s signature, their pursuit reflects the club’s ambition to strengthen and diversify their attacking lineup.

Meanwhile, Hudson-Odoi is eligible to play for Ghana through his parents and can switch his international allegiance despite making three senior appearances for England.

His appearances for the Three Lions were made before he turned 21, allowing him to switch to another nation if he decides to.

His last appearance for England was in a 4-0 Euro qualifying victory over Kosovo, and he was part of Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2020 squad following injuries to key players.
