Ghanaian football fans took to social media to share their views following Baba Rahman’s return to the Black Stars during the international friendly against Wales.

The former Chelsea defender was introduced in the 85th minute as Ghana looked set to secure victory. However, moments after coming on, Rahman was beaten on the left flank, allowing Wales to launch an attack that eventually led to the equalizing goal scored by Liverpool youngster Lewis Koumas.

The incident quickly became a major talking point among supporters on social media, with many expressing disappointment over the defender’s contribution in the closing stages of the match.
Rahman, who currently plays for Greek side PAOK, had been absent from the national team setup since Ghana’s participation at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. His return comes after receiving a call-up from new Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz as part of efforts to strengthen the squad ahead of upcoming assignments.

Baba Rahman is good player but for the black stars,he is faced with a lot of psychological challenges that would not make him perform for Ghana ever

If he tries doing much to prove himself, he is either getting red cards or going to cause penalties
It would simply not work… pic.twitter.com/OLFHDLF1IY

“The Black Stars played well, but one player has to go back home and that’s Baba Rahman.”

🟥 Baba Rahman really disappointed us. Coming on as a substitute, you expect him to bring energy, but he just switched off. Ghana needed him to do better to secure the win. Hopefully, he learns from this and improves next time.

Despite the criticism, some supporters urged patience, noting that the experienced left-back is returning to the national team after a lengthy absence and may require time to fully settle back into the side.
