The head coach of the Ghana U23 team, Ibrahim Tanko, has included FC Cincinnati 2 midfielder Salim Adams in his 25-man squad for the U23 AFCON qualifier against Algeria.
Adams, who is on loan from Hearts of Oak, has not yet made his senior debut for the American-based club, but has played in all seven preseason matches.
The 20-year-old midfielder is set to make his debut for Ghana in the home and away games against Algeria on March 24 and 28, respectively.
The winner of the games will qualify for the 2023 U23 ACON competition, which is scheduled to take place in Morocco in June.
The Black Meteors advanced to the Third Round of qualifying after defeating Mozambique 4-1 on aggregate in October.
