The Ghanaian striker was on target for Arsenal FC in the English Premier League on Saturday afternoon at the Emirates Stadium.
The attacker opened the scoring in the first half after 26 minutes with a sweet finish to put the hosts 1-0 up halfway through the opening 45 minutes of the match.
His strike took a little deflection as he found the back of the net to become the first player to score in the 2023-24 campaign for Arsenal in the English Premier League.
Bukayo Saka added the second goal to add to Arsenal’s advantage after 32 minutes with an exquisite strike to make it 2-0.
Substitute, Taiwo Awoniyi scored a consolation goal for the away team who lost 2-1 on the road in their first game of the 2023-24 season.
