Ghanaian international striker, Joel Fameyeh has opened his goal account for in the second of the season FC Orenburg in Russia on his first start after returning from injury.
The former Asokwa Deportivo SC talisman netted his team’s second goal in their emphatic 3-0 win over Torpedo Moscow in the Russian National Football League.
Nikolay Prudnikov opened the scoring in the first half after just two minutes of play to make it 1-0 to the dominant home team who were eager to win to close the gap to leaders Krylya Sovetov.
On the 29th minute mark, Orenburg were awarded a spot kick which was slotted into the net perfectly by the former U-23 striker, Fameyeh to put the hosts in a two-goals lead.
Thirty minutes from full time, Alexey Mironov added the icing on the cake to make it 3-0 for the Blue and Whites who cruised to victory with their first clean sheet in three games since the second round of the season started.
The 23-year-old predator finisher played 63 minutes before his substitution and has banged seven goals with one assist in 25 matches for his team as they push for a return to the top-flight after suffering relegation due to Covid-19 issues last season.
