Crystal Palace’s Jordan Ayew and Jeffrey Schlupp both scored in the team’s close victory over West Ham at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
Ayew, Wilfried Zaha, and Schlupp netted three goals in just 15 minutes, bringing Palace back from Tomas Soucek’s early opener for West Ham in the ninth minute.
Although Michail Antonio reduced the gap to one goal in the 35th minute, Eberechi Eze scored a penalty in the 66th minute after being fouled by Nayef Aguerd, restoring Palace’s two-goal lead.
In the 72nd minute, Aguerd made amends by scoring West Ham’s third goal, one of three goals the team scored from corners. However, Palace managed to hold on to their lead and secure the win.
West Ham remains five points ahead of the relegation zone with only five games left in the season.
