Vision Football Club head coach Nana Agyemang has acknowledged his team’s underdog status but remains confident they can pull off a surprise victory against Asante Kotoko.
The Ghana Premier League newcomers will face the Porcupine Warriors on Sunday in a Matchday 17 encounter at the Baba Yara Stadium. Despite their lower league position, Agyemang insists his team is ready to defy expectations and secure all three points.
“For me, I think the team that is complacent is going to lose this game,” he stated. “Vision has nothing to lose. We are the underdogs, but we are coming in with what we know, what we have, and every ammunition that we’ve got to take three points. If Kotoko underrates Vision, they do so at their own peril.”
Vision FC currently sits 11th on the league table, while Kotoko occupies fifth place. However, Agyemang sees the match against one of Ghana’s football powerhouses as a tremendous opportunity for his players.
“Playing against Kotoko is a huge motivation. For my lads, the challenge itself is exciting, and we’re ready to make the most of it,” he added.
The much-anticipated fixture is set to kick off at 15:00 GMT, with fans eager to see if Vision FC can deliver a shocking upset against the formidable Asante Kotoko.
