With a determined focus on revitalizing their performance, the Asante Kotoko Interim Management Committee (IMC) is sparing no effort to ensure the utmost comfort and competitiveness of the playing squad.

After a challenging prior season that culminated in a fourth-place finish, the Porcupine Warriors are resolute in their pursuit of a stronger and more resolute comeback.

In response to the dissolution of the board of directors and the management led by Nana Yaw Amponsah, the club’s life patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, appointed a capable four-member IMC to steer the club’s resurgence. Among them is Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua, who visited the training grounds on Monday to convey a resounding message to the players.

Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua assured the team of the IMC’s unwavering commitment to furnishing them with every conceivable advantage. He expressed, “We are here to keep urging you on and like I have said before, we are always ready to do what it takes to make you feel comfortable.”

While acknowledging the reconstruction journey that lies ahead, Akwasi Awua underscored that the committee holds lofty expectations for the team’s performance. “We know we are rebuilding, but we are expecting you to come out as a good team,” he further emphasized.

Comprising Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua, who holds the position of Kontomponiaferehene and is a certified accountant, former Black Stars coach Appiah, Dr. Ogum, and Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, who serves as the administrative manager, the IMC is at the helm of the club’s reinvigoration efforts.

As the imminent new season approaches, Asante Kotoko is diligently preparing for their inaugural campaign. Their debut match will see them pitted against Heart of Lions in a home game at the revered Baba Yara Stadium.
