Joseph Paints, a forward for the Black Stars, has expressed the team’s determination to give their all for Ghanaians in their upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar.
Ahead of their match against the Bereas at the Mahamasina Municipal Stadium in Antananarivo on June 18th, Joseph Paints spoke at a press conference following the team’s second training session at the Accra Sports Stadium. He emphasized that every player is mentally prepared and has set aside any distractions from their club experiences.
“With their mentality, they are really ready for it and we always talk about it, their full focus is on the game. The past is the past and they are always focused on the game.
He further emphasized that the team is eager to give their best performance for the fans and the entire nation of Ghana.
“I think they are really ready to give their all for the fans and for Ghanaians.”
Chris Hughton’s team only needs a draw to secure their place in the tournament, which will be held in Ivory Coast.
Currently leading Group E with 8 points from two wins and two draws in their four group games, the Black Stars are determined to achieve a positive result and advance to the Africa Cup of Nations.
