Ghana captain Andre Ayew believes the Black Stars team are capable of surprising anyone at the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar later this month.
The Al Sadd SC forward says when all the players of Black Stars are fit, they will be able to have a very nice tournament despite being in a tough group.
Ayew says the only thing that could hamper the team’s progress at the tournament would be when the te is hit with bad injuries.
“I believe in the players that we have, I believe in the squad we have, especially if everyone will be there and there are no injuries and we have a full squad.”
“I think we can create surprises, but it’s only on that grass that will speak. But we have to accept and respect the fact that we are not favourites,” Andre Ayew said in an interview.
Ayew will be making his third FIFA World Cup tournament appearance after playing at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, 2014 in Brazil and now set for the Qatar edition.
Ghana starts their campaign against European giant Portugal on November 24, Asian powerhouse South Korea on November 28 and former world cup winners Uruguay on December 2.
