Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo celebrated his Man of the Match performance in Bournemouth’s stunning 2-1 victory over Premier League champions Manchester City, calling it “an amazing feeling.”

His goal, combined with another by Evanilson, led to Bournemouth’s first-ever win over City after 22 previous encounters, with their last points dating back to draws in 1989 and 1999.

In a post-match interview with BBC’s Match of the Day, Semenyo expressed his excitement: “It feels amazing. The best team in the world. We made it tough for them, and everyone is buzzing with the result. A win is a win. It doesn’t matter if it’s one goal or three; we deserved it.”

Semenyo praised teammate Milos Kerkez for his defensive contributions, stating, “His contribution was so good. It was tough for all of us, but he made some important blocks to keep us in the game.” The Ghanaian also commended Evanilson, noting, “We see the potential in training. It takes time to settle into a new league, but he’s done well, and the goals are coming now.”

Looking ahead, Semenyo shared his optimism about Bournemouth’s prospects for the season: “We have belief. We train hard every day and take it onto the pitch. Everyone is going to write us off, but we know what we can do.”
