Uganda international Steven Desse Mukwala remains optimistic about Asante Kotoko’s prospects despite their slow start to the Ghana Premier League campaign.
The Porcupine Warriors have yet to secure a victory in the domestic top-flight competition, having played two matches so far.
Kotoko, the reigning Ghana Premier League champions, began the season with a goalless draw at home against Heart of Lions and subsequently suffered a 2-1 defeat to Bibiani Goldstars in the following fixture. Currently, they occupy the 17th position on the league table with just one point.
Mukwala, however, maintains confidence in his team’s potential for the season. He stated, “We have started on a small note but I believe with the technical team, we shall come good. As the coach said, it’s a process” he said at the pre-match conference.
Asante Kotoko is set to host Karela United in their upcoming Week 3 fixture of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
