Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has reassured fans of an impressive season, urging them to expect strong performances from the team as they strive for success in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.
The Porcupine Warriors, who finished a disappointing sixth last season, are determined to bounce back this time around. They began the season on a positive note, claiming a vital victory over Karela United at the Naa Sheriga Complex.
Looking ahead to their upcoming clash against Young Apostles, Ogum emphasized the team’s commitment to exceeding expectations.
“We should expect this team to do very well by the end of the season, to play well, and win more games,” Ogum affirmed. “Kotoko is known for winning. Whether you coach or play for Kotoko, it’s a responsibility you must meet—playing well and winning games.”
Despite the optimism, Ogum stressed the importance of remaining humble and focused, ensuring that the team’s efforts are grounded in hard work.
“We shouldn’t boast; instead, we need to work harder, stay determined, stay focused, and get the job done,” he added.
Asante Kotoko will take on Young Apostles in their third league match on Sunday in Obuasi, aiming to build on their strong start and continue their quest for glory this season.
