Patrick Kpozo, a defender based in Moldova, expressed confidence that the Black Stars will triumph in their upcoming match following a draw against Madagascar on Sunday.
The 25-year-old participated in the entire duration of the 0-0 draw against Madagascar at the Stade Barea Mahamasina in Antananarivo.
In order to qualify for AFCON 2023, Ghana must achieve a positive outcome in their game against the Central African Republic in September.
After the match, Kpozo, who made his debut for the national team, assured Ghanaians that the Black Stars will bring joy in their next game.
“Very happy to have made my debut for the national team. Dreams come true. This isn’t what we wanted. Played on bad surface and difficult to play. Next game we will surely put a smile on the face of Ghanaians,” he wrote on Facebook.
With nine points from five games and one more match to play in September against the Central African Republic in Kumasi, Ghana remains at the top of the group.
Kpozo made 24 appearances in all competitions for FC Sheriff Tiraspol, the Moldovan champions, during this season.
In the recently concluded season, Kpozo secured two victories with his team, claiming both the Moldovan Cup and the Premier League titles.
