Head coach for Ghana Premier League giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC, Mariano Barreto has revealed that his lads are well prepared for the week 19 clash against Berekum Chelsea FC.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s game against Berekum Chelsea in Obuasi, the Portuguese gaffer stated that he hoped the game was not on Sunday afternoon after playing on Wednesday against Bechem United FC.
“It’s the schedule and we can’t change it. I hope we would be ready physically because mentally.”
However, the former Black Stars coach revealed that his team is ready and prepared to face Chelsea in Obuasi on Sunday afternoon.
“I know that my players are becoming ready for this match,” he said in a prematch interview.
My focus is on my team. If we do everything right, I don’t care so much about the other team. They are comfortable than us because they have had 7 days to rest. We have played two matches in three days and now we are playing the third match in 7 days but we understand it,” he added.
Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea game is scheduled to start at 3pm on Sunday in Obuasi at the Len Clay Stadium and will be shown on Adepa channel on StarTimes.
