Black Stars goalkepper Ati Zigi has shared his excitement about representing Ghana at the FIFA World Cup, describing the tournament as the ultimate dream for every footballer.
Speaking about the prospect of playing on football’s biggest stage, Zigi said:”As a kid, everyone dreams of playing at the World Cup. For me, it is a huge dream because you get the opportunity to face some of the best players in the world. The atmosphere is amazing, with thousands of fans in the stadium showing their support and love. I am really looking forward to it.”
The St. Gallen shot-stopper is set to participate in his second FIFA World Cup after being part of Ghana’s squad at the 2022 tournament in Qatar.
Zigi is expected to battle Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare for the Black Stars’ number-one spot as Ghana prepares for the global showpiece.
