At the Thomas A. Robinson Track & Field Stadium in Nassau, Bahamas, it was all fireworks in the qualifiers for the 2024 Olympics Games in Paris.

Heat One of the World Athletics 400×100 Meters Relay was so competitive as it contained the USA, Brazil, Italy, Liberia, Korea, Bahamas, Ghana and Czech Republic.

The USA and Italy were the overwhelming favourites to win the two automatic slots for the Paris 2024.

Ghana’s quartet of Ibrahim Fuseni, Isaac Botsio, Azamati Benjamin and Joe Paul were ready to shock one of the favourites to secure a place in the 2024 Olympics Games.

Fuseuni had a good start for Ghana but unfortunately, changeover between Isaac Botsio and Benjamin Azamati was unsuccessful as the baton was dropped due to miscommunication.

Ghana finished bottom of the Heat with the USA led by the imperious Noah Liles winning the heat with Italy finishing second to book ticket to Paris Olympics Games in France.

Team Ghana will however have another shot at qualifying for the Paris Olympics on Sunday.

Ghana will need to finish in the top 2 of their race to secure a place in the 2024 Paris Olympics Games.
