Bofoakwa Tano FC striker, Welbeck Takyi thanked Black Stars coach CK Akonnor with a goal against Kintampo FC after his debut senior call-up on Friday.
The lanky attacker scored in his team’s victory over Kintampo FC at home in the week seven clash in the Ghana Division One League in Sunyani on Saturday.
Welbeck Takyi grabbed the opening goal of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up early in the game after just 13 minutes to make it seven goals in seven matches.
Ten minutes to the end of the game, Adam Abubakar scored the icing on the cake goal to make sure the ‘Real Hunters secured a 2-0 win at home in the Zone One of the Division One League 2020-21 season.
Takyi has seven goals in seven league matches this season and was invited by Ghana’s head coach CK Akonnor as he named 32-man home based squad to begin preparation for next month’s Africa Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe.
