Ghanaian forward, Abdul Khalid Basit scored his first goal of the season for Tunisian giants Espérance du Tunis on Saturday afternoon in the CAF Champions League.
The former Dreams FC attacker joined the Red and Yellows last month and has played once in the Tunisia Ligue One before his Champions League bow on Saturday afternoon in Tunis.
The visitors, Tuengueth FC took the lead in the first half after 33 minutes through Gibril Sillah to make it 1-0 to the Senegalese team.
On the stroke of half time, Espérance got a spot kick which was converted by starman Taha Yassine Khenissi to level matters for the hosts before going into the break.
Basit came on after 58 minutes on the clock to take the place of goal scorer Khenissi and headed in the winning goal for the Tunisians on the 73rd minute to make it 2-1 at the end of the match.
Espérance are now top of the group with three points after their first win with MC Alger and Zamalek occupying second and third places with Tuengueth languishing at the bottom after the first round of matches.
