Niger will host Sudan in a Group F matchday four AFCON 2025 Qualifier at the KG Stadium in Lomé, Togo, following a decision by the Nigerien Football Federation to select the venue as their adopted home stadium.
This move comes after initial plans to use the Moulay Hassan Stadium in Rabat, Morocco, were scrapped due to issues with CAF approval for Category Three matches.
Niger, who do not yet have a CAF-approved stadium for such games, had originally chosen the 12,000-seater Moulay Hassan Stadium for the fixture and had even set up camp in Rabat to prepare. However, they have now shifted their preparations to Togo, where the match is scheduled to take place on Thursday, November 14.
In the reverse fixture in September, Sudan defeated Niger 1-0, thanks to a second-half goal from Abu Bakr at the Juba Stadium.
Sudan, currently second in Group F with seven points from four matches, requires just two points from their remaining two games to secure qualification for AFCON 2025. Niger, on the other hand, are bottom of the group with just one point, with little chance of advancing.
