‘The league is far from over, Kotoko haven’t won the title yet’ – Amed Toure

Medeama SC forward, Amed Toure says the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League season is far from over as he thinks Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC have not won the title yet as many believes to be a done deal.

The former Porcupine Warrior believes the second half of the season could produce its own twist and turns and for that matter, though Kotoko are doing well but can’t be seen as winners already.

He added that,, Hearts of Oak SC, who are the defending champions of the league may not be necessarily doing well at the moment but they can’t be written off yet.

According to him, there are more matches to be played in the second round which could offer other teams the opportunity to catch up with the Red and Whites outfit.

“Kotoko and Hearts of Oak matches are unpredictable. Its very difficult to predict. The better side carry the day. If you go into the games to do something special, you may be disappointed. You have to take it cool as any other match,” he told Akoma FM.

“Currently Kotoko is the most inform club but anything is possible in the 2nd round but let’s not forget that Hearts were the best side just last season. So anything is possible. I don’t think Kotoko has won the league yet. There are more matches to go.”
