Talented Ghanaian defender Abdul Rahman Baba says it is always a great privilege to wear the national team jersey of the country.

Baba has gone through almost all the Ghana national team age groups up to the Black Stars and he maintains that he wears the Ghana jersey with so much pride.

“It is always an honor to represent my country and I’m looking forward to the games coming up.” Baba emphasized in an interview monitored by new.sportsworldghana.com ahead of the impending friendly games with Brazil and Nicaragua.

The Ghanaian star further touched on the upcoming World Cup in Qatar which will be the first time the tournament is going to be played in November.

“I don’t know how they are going to manage it but it will be strange for us to have a break in November to play the World Cup.” He added.

On his relationship with fellow Black Stars colleague and club mate Andy Yiadom, Baba mentioned that they have been cordial for half a decade and this move to Reading has even strengthen there interactions.

“I’ve had a good relationship with Yids (Andy Yiadom) since 2017 and we’ve carried that on when I came here.”

Baba has been among Ghana’s consistent players in Europe for the past eight years and has been efficient for the Black Stars also.
