Former Ghana star player Asamoah Gyan has heaped praises on former Ghana youth star Bernard Dong Bortey.
Gyan described the Accra Human Hearts of Oak SC legend as a good person with a good heart.
Speaking to Dan Kwaku Yeboah TV monitored by Sportsworldghana.com, the midfielder explained why he holds Dong Bortey in high esteem.
“Dong Bortey is a very good person with a kind heart but people doesn’t know that side of him”, he told Dan Kwaku Yeboah.
“Dong Bortey brought a bag full of money during our time at the Black Meteors camp and asked me to take any amount of my choice.”
“He was a good person despite being on top of his game and could’ve reached the very top of his career but in life you never know”, Gyan added.
Dong Bortey won the maiden edition of the CAF Confederation Cup trophy with Accra Hearts of Oak SC against arch rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC and three Ghana Premier League titles.
