Following the sacking of Seydou Zerbo, Asante Kotoko SC have appointed Abdul Gazale, the current youth team coach, as interim head coach.
Zerbo was relieved of his duties after Kotoko’s home loss to Medeama SC in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday. He had led the club to nine wins, seven losses, and six draws in 22 games this season.
The decision to part ways with Zerbo was due to the club’s unimpressive performance and the recent defeat to Medeama. The club is currently in seventh place with 34 points after 22 games.
The appointment of Gazale was announced on the club’s official Twitter handle.
