Ghanaian international Dauda Mohammed has departed Belgian giants Anderlecht after a six-year stint to join Spanish lower-tier side, CD Tenerife.
Juan Guerrero, the sports director of Spanish second division club CD Tenerife, has confirmed that Dauda Mohammed has signed a three-year contract with the club.
“We will be spreading the transfer fee to Anderlecht over the course of those three years,” Guerrero stated.
Since joining Anderlecht in 2017 from Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko, the forward has faced difficulties in securing a place in the first team.
Dauda Mohammed’s time at Anderlecht has now reached its conclusion. Having been brought to Purple-White at the age of 17, the striker showcased his goal-scoring prowess in the U-21 squad, but he struggled to make a breakthrough in the senior team.
Loan spells at Vitesse and Esbjerg did not yield the desired results. However, he had a successful stint at Cartagena last season, impressing enough to convince Tenerife. After spending a year on loan, Tenerife has now made his signing permanent.
Since joining Tenerife in the summer, Dauda Mohammed has made 26 appearances, scoring 3 goals and providing 3 assists.
