The French-Born Ghanaian attacker made a name for himself at home for the Black Cats as they won 5-0 against the Saints.
He provided a masterpiece display for the home team and wowed the home fans with his two incredible strikes.
Pierre Ekwah has shrugged off transfer talk to insist he is happy at Sunderland and focused on helping the Black Cats mount a promotion challenge.
Sunderland turned down an approach from Bundesliga side Stuttgart for Ekwah last week, and boss Tony Mowbray said that the phone rang on deadline day with more interest in the French midfielder.
